4 Months

I was just looking at the title of my last blog and I can't believe that it has been since October that I posted something. Shame on me!
Emily is now four months old today and we had our appointment with the doctor. Emily is 19.8 pounds (yes, I typed that correctly) and 26 3/4 inches long... again no typos. She has doubled her birth weight (like she was supposed to) and she has grown almost 7 inches in four months. John and I like to think she is an over achiever. That puts her in the 97% for height, weight and head circumference. The doctor isn't worried and says she will slow down. I hope so. All those wonderful clothes Santa brought her aren't going to fit much longer. She is about to be in 12 month clothing and that makes me so sad! In some stores that isn't considered newborn anymore and they look so grown-up. I know she is going to grow up, but not yet!
She is going to the babysitter everyday and comes home in a great mood. It is so great when you can find someone to care for your child like you would.
Emily was able to have her first real photo shoot with a backdrop and everything this last Sunday. My friend Amy just started up a new photography business and Emily was her first baby model. I think Em did a great job posing and Amy is a great photographer. If anyone needs pictures, I have a suggestion.

All she wanted to do was chew on the tulle!

First day of Bible class. I was so happy and sad at the same time.

We have found our tongue!

Aunt Shellie sent Emily her first Clifford and Clifford book. She loved to look at the colors and pictures as I read it to her. She looks so grown up to me here.

I make chunky thighs look good. hahaha!

On our way to the doctor for our appointment!
