Bath, Beans and.... Hearts?

Emily started her first Valentine's Day early this morning... around 2am. She is still trying to kick this cough that I think her and Daddy keep passing back and forth. She woke up coughing early early, but after some yummy strawberry Pedialite, she went back to bed before the 'real' day began. John and I are hoping that her gift to us will be a relaxing afternoon of reading and watching tv. We will see how that goes. But here is how we started the day.

Yesterday Emily tried her first big girl food... green beans. She wasn't too sure at first, but then decided she liked them. Go figure right? My child like food? haha. Aside from the fact that green baby food smeared all over a baby's face is one of the grossest things to take a picture of, I think we got some priceless pictures of her first 'solid food' experience.

After it was all said and done, she was pretty happy with her new experience.

Emily has also now decided that she loves the bath. At first she didn't like it and then she didn't hate it, but it wasn't her favorite time. Last night was the first time we took her out of the small tub and put her on the sling. She is of course way too big for it, but she was just splashing away and playing in the water. She LOVED it. I think she is going to be water lover like her mommy! This makes excited because I was hoping to do some Mommy and Me time this summer at the Rec Center at Tech. So excited she *might* like it!

I feel like my little girl changes every day. She still has absolutely no interest in rolling over but she loves to stand in our laps and she loves to look at herself in the mirror. She will be five months on the 19th of this month (only a week away) and we are loving every minute of her!
